While this pattern is for ALL Makers of course, I want to especially shout out that women makers have not always been recognized for their innovation and authority in handmade Fine Craft, as well as for the beauty and when applicable, the function of their products.
Thank you for purchasing this pattern and I hope you enjoy stitching this piece as much as I enjoyed designing it for cross stitch.
As for many of my new patterns, I share a stitched view from my pattern software first, because my creative inspiration and supply of ideas surpass my ability to stitch them fast enough. Downloading and Printing Instructions:
Your file will be available to you after your payment is confirmed.
You will automatically be emailed a download link for you to download and save the file to your computer. I'd suggest the easiest way to download it is on your computer, not a phone, as you are limited in the number of times (3) you can download the file.
Once you save the file to your computer (check your download folder if you can't find it), you can either print it out at home, print one or two pages instead of the whole pdf if you'd like, or send the file to your local business office supplier printer.

Floss Colour: You can stitch this in any one colour. I suggest a bold black floss like DMC 310, a great charcoal/chalk colour, a dark blue or a variegated thread such as Red DMC 115 would look amazing.
3 Skeins should be sufficient, but if you waste threads like I seem to do, I might suggest 4.
For the backstitches and line text, I suggest using one strand of floss.
For the cross stitch text initials and date, refer to the alphabets page. You can also customize the design in any way you’d like - for example, you can replace the all seeing eye and list the initials or full names of your ancestors/mentors who were makers! Please feel free to fit in initials or names anywhere in the design to suit you or add any colours you’d prefer. Perhaps years down the road, your ancestors will be adding to it with their own creative vision, in loving memory of you, their magical creative mentor.
Design Size:
16 stitch/in - 143 x 169 Stitches
22.6cm x 27cm (8.9 x 10.6 in.)
Fabric:
If you are stitching this pattern on a different size than a 16 count fabric, please note the stitch count and calculate your finished design size before you start stitching.
Please make sure you have enough fabric to add a border all around the design. I’d suggest adding 5 cm – 7.5 cm (2-3 in) around each edge.
Colour: I suggest this design could be stitched on any colour, but I suggest a mottled look, like a tea stained fabric would look amazing.
