The Laurel Witch Cross Stitch Pattern PDF - Little Witches Icons - Sabrina
One of the most famous of modern-day witches, this half witch/half mortal teen has been around since October 1962, originally known as Sabrina - That Cute Little Witch, from the Archie Comic Series set in the fictional town, Greendale, close to Riverdale where the characters co-exist and sometimes overlap. Sabrina lives with her two aunts, Hilda and Zelda Spellman and her familiar, a black cat named Salem Saberhagen, who is actually a warlock-turned-cat for his attempts at world domination.
If you grew up in 60’s, 70’s, 80’s you might remember Sabrina from the Archie comics like me, if you remember this white haired teen with the iconic black headband from the late 90’s/early 2000’s, you may have watched the sitcom, Sabrina the Teenage Witch with Melissa Joan Hart, or read her story in manga comics. This 3-in-1 pattern shows her from the most recent show on Netflix, The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, a darker take on the Sabrina story, where we learn more about Sabrina as a teen witch and about Sabrina Morningstar (as shown in the middle design), played by Kiernan Shipka. Admittedly this Sabrina is a bit of a witchy fashion icon and has inspired many Halloween costumes, Pinterest Boards, and daily wear for many who like her style. Witches tend to like the number three, so there are three designs to choose from. Feel free to stitch one or stitch them all!
Yours truly in all things mystical and magical,
Laura Daub

Please note: This listing is for the PDF file only and does not include the materials for cross stitching or framing.
Design Size: 117 X 79 Stitches - Do check the stitch counts and design sizes above the colour key.
I stitch most of my patterns 2 over 2 on 28 or 32 count Zweigart Even Weave.
Floss:
The DMC floss amount in the key is for stitching both patterns but I think the black DMC 310 would look wonderful if replaced by a variegated black floss or an overdyed black floss like the Leo & Roxy Cotton Floss – Chalkboard. You may need more skeins if you are using a different floss than DMC.
Fabric: Make sure you have enough fabric to add a border all around the design. I’d suggest adding 5 cm – 7.5 cm (2-3 in) around each side for framing or if you'd like to make each one separately into dolls or decorative pillows.
Colour: I suggest this design could be stitched on any colour.
