The Laurel Witch Cross Stitch Pattern PDF - MidWinter Run with the Wolves
The Laurel Witch Cross Stitch Pattern PDF - MidWinter Run with the Wolves
I hope you enjoy stitching this piece as much as I enjoyed designing it for cross stitch, as an accompanying piece to my cross stitch pattern and painting, both titled, I Search for an Ancestor, as the second piece in a growing series of fine craft works on Women’s Empowerment. This piece is inspired by the book, Women Who Run with the Wolves, Myths and Stories of the Wild Woman Archetype, by Clarissa Pinkola Estés, Ph.D.
As for many of my new patterns, I share a stitched view from my pattern software first, because my creative inspiration and supply of ideas surpass my ability to stitch them fast enough. When I am able though, I stitch the patterns that call to me the most, and then I add the photo updates to my listings, Please connect with me on Instagram @thelaurelwitch to see my wips. As always, please feel free to wait to see if I stitch and finish this piece, or stitch it if this pattern speaks to you with a love at first sight or if it resonates from deep within.
Please note: This listing is for the PDF file only and does not include the materials for cross stitching.

Downloading and Printing Instructions:
Your file will be available to you after your payment is confirmed.
You will automatically be emailed a download link for you to download and save the file to your computer. I'd suggest the easiest way to download it is on your computer, not a phone, as you are limited in the number of times you can download the file.
Once you save the file to your computer (check your download folder if you can't find it), you can either print it out at home, print one or two pages instead of the whole pdf if you'd like, or send the whole file to your local business office supplier printer.
Design Size:
16 stitch/in 110 x 154 Stitches
17.5 cm x 24.4 cm (6.9 x 9.6 in.)
Please make sure you have enough fabric to add a border all around the design.
I’d suggest adding 5 cm – 7.5 cm (2-3 in) around each edge.
Fabric:
If you are stitching this pattern on a different size than a 16 ct fabric, please note the stitch count and calculate your finished design size before you start stitching. Please make sure you have enough fabric to add a border all around the design, especially if you are using a different count fabric - eg. 14 count Aida This design can be stitched on any colour, but a blue colour fabric would be a great choice to act as the winter sky, if you choose to stitch the snowflakes. I am stitching this on 32 ct Smoky Pearl Zweigart Linen, 2 over 2.
Additional Skin Tones: I have provided an additional option for skin tones, but please do feel free to use any skin (and hair) colours you prefer.
If you are new to cross stitching and would like some help to get started with stitching from a counted cross stitch pattern, I have listed some resource links on my blog at thelaurelwitch.com and will keep updating it whenever possible.
