I have always, always loved tiny little things. This Little Witch may look tiny, but her fine detailed pattern was designed to keep cross stitchers of all levels engaged and on their toes, with the ultimate feeling of satisfaction (and hopefully a little giggly) once she's completed!

She’s a Canadian Witch, a magical North American Maritimer, who lives in a lighthouse and watches over the ships sailing on sometimes dark and stormy seas. Heed the warnings of the Witch of the East, as she is a Seer and has the wisdom and knowing of all those who came before her, and she sees what others cannot. She has a special relationship with mythical and magical sea creatures and many a wild story has been told about her through the Folklore and Folk Art of the East. When her lantern is shining brightly, you know it is time to light the fires and hunker down with a good cup of tea, a good game of cards, a good book or to pick up the knitting and mending projects you've been meaning to get to. Some of us think though, that every once in awhile, she lights her lamp even when the cold ocean winds are calm and there is no danger coming... it's as if she knows we just need to take a break from the world every once in awhile. She's just really just that magical, isn't she.

Downloading and Printing Instructions:
Your file will be available to you after your payment is confirmed.
You will automatically be emailed a download link for you to download and save the file to your computer. I'd suggest the easiest way to download it is on your computer, not a phone, as you are limited in the number of times you can download the file.
Once you save the file to your computer (check your download folder if you can't find it), you can either print it out at home, print one or two pages instead of the whole pdf if you'd like, or send the whole file to your local business office supplier printer.
Design Size:
41 x 78 Stitches ***Do check the stitch counts and design size options above the Colour Key.
I stitch most of my patterns 2 over 2 (2 strands of floss) on 28 or 32 count Zweigart Even Weave.
For backstitches I usually stitch with one thread.
Floss:
I think the black DMC 310 would look wonderful if replaced by a variegated black floss or an overdyed black floss like the Leo & Roxy Cotton Floss – Chalkboard. You may need more skeins if you are using a different floss than DMC.
I have only provided one skin tone, so please do feel free to use any colours you prefer.
Fabric:
Make sure you have enough fabric to add a border all around the design. I’d suggest adding 5 cm – 7.5 cm (2-3 in) around each side for framing. These Little Witches can also be finished into little dolls or pillows.
