I have always, always loved tiny little things. This Little Witch may look tiny, but her fine detailed pattern was designed to keep cross stitchers of all levels engaged and on their toes, with the ultimate feeling of satisfaction (and hopefully a little giggly) once she's completed!

Sister of the Witch of the East and West, the Witch of the North lives in Northern Canada and travels with her magic and love of the land within the Territories of Yukon, Northwest Territories, and Nunavut. Her warm coat captures life in the cold, but beautiful landscape, complete with the Northern Lights, her cozy home with a perpetual log lit on the fire inside, a skidoo at the ready and a broom to chase the shimmery night skies, and a polar bear familiar, the colour of the snow around her.
All proceeds of the sale of this pattern will go to Pitquhirnikkut Ilihautiniq / Kitikmeot Heritage Society in Cambridge Bay, Nunavut.

I want to take this opportunity to share one of my favourite shows! North of North too! Originally on CBC, APTN, and now on Netflix. Siaja, played by Anna Lambe is breathtaking, funny and so talented, along with the whole cast, opening our eyes to life in the North, for those who have only dreamed of being able to go there.

Your file will be available to you after your payment is confirmed.
You will automatically be emailed a download link for you to download and save the file to your computer. I'd suggest the easiest way to download it is on your computer, not a phone, as you are limited in the number of times you can download the file.
Once you save the file to your computer (check your download folder if you can't find it), you can either print it out at home, print one or two pages instead of the whole pdf if you'd like, or send the whole file to your local business office supplier printer.
Design Size:
41 x 79 Stitches ***Do check the stitch counts and design size options above the Colour Key.
I stitch most of my patterns 2 over 2 (2 strands of floss) on 28 or 32 count Zweigart Even Weave.
For backstitches I usually stitch with one thread.
Floss:
I think the black DMC 310 would look wonderful if replaced by a variegated black floss or an overdyed black floss like the Leo & Roxy Cotton Floss – Chalkboard. You may need more skeins if you are using a different floss than DMC.
I have only provided one skin tone, so please do feel free to use any colours you prefer.
Fabric:
Make sure you have enough fabric to add a border all around the design. I’d suggest adding 5 cm – 7.5 cm (2-3 in) around each side for framing. These Little Witches can also be finished into little dolls or pillows.
