“Come in, come in!” said the Laurel Witch, as the group of friends huddled on the small entrance mat and stomped their feet as if they were shaking off snow on their boots, but it had not yet snowed.

“Thank you! It’s getting cold out there and your shop looked so inviting.”

The Laurel Witch replied, “Ah yes, the North Winds have ushered in and the Cailleach is on her way. When I heard the door chimes, I thought you might actually be the Winter Witch and her Yule Witches coming to announce their arrival after such a long year. I’ve been busy preparing for them and have missed them.

“The Cailleach? The Winter Witch?” asked another woman. Her daughter added, “Yule Witches?“

“Come in, come in. Have a seat and I’ll put on some tea and read your leaves.
If you have time, I’ll tell you all about them.”

Enthralled, the group sat down and snuggled into the warm couches and pretty, but tattered chairs covered in lace and handknit shawls. They noted the familiar scents of seasonal baking, aromatic herbs, and the incense that wafted throughout the parlour, and the twinkling lights and flickering candles welcomed them to settle in and make themselves comfortable.

Without uttering a single word to each other, they all felt the distant ancient calling of the Cailleach - the Crone, the Wise Woman, and without a doubt,
they knew they were home.

My Heirloom Cross Stitched Art Dolls can be displayed and handed down for many years to come. These small batch, One of a Kind (OOAK) Collectible Art Dolls are not toys and are not recommended for children 3 and under due to their small parts.

Having been professionally trained in Fashion Design using Haute Couture methods and years in Art and Design since, my handmade dolls are sewn with care and skill. Clothes and accessories are sewn onto the body and hair is permanently styled. The doll’s arms have been hand-sewn on with embroidery thread.

My full size dolls are approximately 40 cm/16 inches tall.

The body of the my dolls are made with 100% Linen and stuffed well with poly stuffing, and the legs are made with natural wools and cottons. Wool is used for their hair, and added touches include modern, found, recycled, and vintage fabrics, embellished with hand embroidery, and jewelry. Raw edges and fraying fabrics, thread knots and visible stitching were all part of the plan and were included with artistic intent. Gentle cleaning/dusting is recommended only when needed.

I will ship the piece to you directly to you in a well packed package . Tracking is also included.
